Care for the hungry
Located right
in the heart of the city of Birmingham, our Care Centre in Washington Street is a meeting place which
provides free food, clothing and emergency help, as well as counselling and
access to rehabilitation programmes.
I'm homeless.
I prayed "Oh God, I really need some help tonight and then I thanked the
Lord when I saw the crowd come and the door opened."

On Tuesday and Wednesday nights it is open to all-comers. Each evening a hot meal is provided, plus other food which can be taken away. The Gospel is always shared with those who attend, either directly (through preaching) or else through testimony and personal conversations.
On Wednesday afternoons, a special
Bible Study meeting is held, only for those who are keen to find out more about
Christ. At present this meeting is well attended. On Sunday mornings a church
service is held at the Care Centre for the homeless.
Hundreds have come through the doors. What do they see? Another agency ‘doing the job’ because the need is there? Or because their heart is in it? Read about life in the care centre.
