We are currently looking to employ a Finance Administrator, a key leadership role within the Mission, a Care Centre Catering Assistant, a Youth Worker and a City Missionary.
Finance Administrator
Full or part-time role
This is a key leadership role within the Mission, having responsibility for financial management of the charity. The candidate’s main duties will include financial planning, budgeting, monitoring cash flow, property management, preparation of statutory accounts and the day to day running of the finance office. They will liaise with the Board of Directors and the CEO on policy matters and with the auditors, representing BCM externally in legal, financial and operational matters.

Catering Assistant
at the Care Centre
16 hours per week
We are looking someone to assist, and on occasions lead, in preparing hot meals for around 40 to 60 people each day.
BCM’s Care Centre is a safe space where homeless and marginalised people can find support, friendship and signposting to other services.

Youth Worker
Full-time shared role (3-year fixed term contract) with Birmingham City Mission and Water Orton Parish Church
We are looking for a Youth Worker to join our Youth Team in reaching the young people of Britain’s second city with the gospel. This full-time position will be in partnership with a local church in Birmingham.
The role provides a tremendous opportunity for engaging with thousands of young people in schools work, city centre events, residentials, youth projects and church ministry.

City Missionary
We are looking to appoint a new City Missionary to work in the city centre and as a district missionary alongside Castle Vale Baptist Church in east Birmingham.
This is a tremendous opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic and has a desire to share the gospel with others. The church is a fairly new initiative and there are many opportunities for community outreach. The successful candidate will take part in regular evangelism both in the city (open air meetings) and working alongside the church, and will be expected to make the church their regular place of worship.
